The act
Rhea Mangles works across New South Wales and can turn up as whatever the night needs: solo with a guitar, a duo, a trio, a full band, a DJ, or the MC. That flexibility is the point. Ceremony sets can be quiet and acoustic, then the same booking can end with a band and lights on the dance floor. Her repertoire spans the fifties to now, from Elvis and the Beatles through Creedence and Aretha, Prince, Divinyls, Crowded House and Cold Chisel, then on to Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Matchbox 20 and Harry Styles. Ballads to full-tilt rock and roll, blues and pop in between. Solo she needs a small space and a powerpoint. The band needs more room and more power. All gear and lighting is hers.

Good to know
What to expect
Human jukebox is the phrase Rhea uses, and it fits. Your favourite songs, played in whatever shape the venue needs, from an acoustic solo set right through to a full band show. She also covers guitar, vocals, DJ and MC duties, which means one booking can carry a night that would otherwise take three people. Tell her what the function needs and she builds the sound around it.
On the day
Solo, she needs a small corner and a powerpoint. Nothing else. The band version wants more floor space for the PA and multiple powerpoints, because lighting, guitar, bass, drums and vocals all draw from somewhere. Every bit of equipment is hers. Lighting scales from something basic up to a proper display if you want the dance floor to look like one.
