The act
Two people, one eighties setlist, and a genuine effort to sound like the record. Retrosteel have been at it since 2013, working pubs, weddings, private parties and public functions across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and northern New South Wales. They bring a modern PA and a light show to match. Between sets the disco keeps running, and if your crowd is brave enough there's karaoke on offer too. The song list leans hard on the decade: Addicted to Love, Billie Jean, Down Under, Hungry Like the Wolf, Boys Don't Cry, Counting the Beat. New ones get added most months, and requests are welcome. Setup is easy. Power and a bit of floor space is all they ask for.

Good to know
What to expect
Two people playing 80s songs as close to the original recordings as they can get them, and getting that closer than you'd expect from a duo. Retrosteel have worked private and public functions across the Gold Coast for years. The set list is long and still growing, they're always adding new ones, and a request for something specific is welcome because they have access to plenty beyond what's listed. Between sets the disco keeps the room going. Karaoke is there too, for a crowd game enough to take it on.
Performance options
The live sets are the centre of it, and a few things come with them. Break music runs between sets so the room doesn't go quiet while the duo have a rest. There's a strong amplified sound system and a light show. And karaoke is available on the night if you want your guests to have a go themselves.
