Atmosphere is the whole brief here. Shanti has a rich, sensuous voice and Ray is one of the more experienced guitar players working in Perth, and together they play stripped back acoustic covers in a style of their own. They've built it playing private events, bars and grills, so they know how to hold a room without dominating it. Practical detail worth having: they bring their own PA, big enough for a wedding crowd of 200 to 300, plus guitar, mic and speakers, and they need about half an hour to set up and sound check. Two stools and a power point is the rest of it. The performance area does need to be undercover if rain is possible.
