The act

Poplife have thought carefully about the shape of an evening, and it shows. Early on they play chilled background music at a volume that lets people actually talk, then once the speeches are done they shift into uptempo party sets. More than 200 songs in the book, classic and modern pop, dance and party rock, and it keeps getting added to. Line ups run from solo through to a nine piece with a three piece horn section, and they'll build the music around canapes, a ceremony and a dance set separately if that's what the day needs. Reading a room and adjusting on the spot is the skill they lean on hardest. Weddings, corporate nights, cocktail functions, themed events and festivals.
