Then there are the string arrangements of pop, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, the sort of thing Bridgerton got everyone thinking about. Both sound like a real quartet, not a novelty. Weddings, fashion parades and concerts are where they're most at home, and the ensemble scales up or down to fit the room.
On the day
One chair per musician, and it has to be armless. Arms get in the way of a bow. Keep them out of direct sunlight too, both for the players and the instruments.
Performance options
You can have the full quartet, a string trio, a duo, or a single violinist or cellist, and the choice usually comes down to the size of the room rather than anything else. Bookings work in 30 minute increments, so you can go from a short ceremony slot up to five hours across a whole day. Custom arrangements are possible if none of the standard lengths fits what you're running.
