Fifteen years of guitar work, most visibly as long-time lead guitarist for Jessica Mauboy and a founding member of Battlesnake. Paul Mason has shared stages with Sting, Harry Connick Jr, Kate Miller-Heidke and James Morrison, and sold out the Factory Theatre in Sydney and Her Majesty's Theatre. His tribute show, Paul Mason Plays the Music of Jeff Beck, has done well by him. Book him solo or with the band. The book runs wide: jazz standards like Cantaloupe Island, Take the A Train and In a Sentimental Mood, Latin through Blue Bossa and Corcovado, then soul and pop, Ain't No Sunshine, I Got a Woman, Dreams, and Australian rock including Khe Sanh and April Sun in Cuba. He brings his own PA, the band brings its own gear, and he can arrange a sound engineer for larger rooms.

Good to know
On the day
Paul brings his own PA. When the band's booked, they arrive with all their own instruments and gear, so there's nothing on your list beyond the space and the power. For bigger rooms where the mix really needs someone on it, he can organise a sound engineer as well rather than leaving you to find one.
Performance options
Book him on his own or bring the band. Solo, the set moves through jazz, blues, pop, RnB and rock, which suits a smaller room or a night that wants music without a stage show. With the full band it becomes a proper live set with more push behind it, good for a bigger crowd. Either version can sit in the background during a cocktail hour or take the front of the room as the main event, and the material gets picked to match. Sound gear and technical support come as part of it.
