What to expect
Acoustic guitar and voice, with a mix of newer songs and the older ones people still ask for. It sits in relaxed territory mostly, though there are enough upbeat numbers in there to lift the mood when it needs lifting. Wedding cocktail hours, corporate events, art shows, functions, a picnic near the water: that's the natural home for it. Mike can also come as a duo if you want a bit more behind the sound. Gigs are broken into sets with a 10 to 15 minute break in between.
On the day
Some time before guests arrive for a sound check, with the exact amount depending on the venue and the type of gig. Tell him where it's happening and he'll tell you what he needs, since a small room and an outdoor space are two different jobs.
Performance options
Packages are put together around what you're doing, the venue and what the sound needs to be. Two to three hours is the sweet spot in his own view, long enough to build something and not so long that it thins out. Four hours is the most he'll book.
