Mikaela Nichols has a big voice, and Mikaela & Friends is built to use it in both directions. Pop, rock and dance tunes belted out for a floor that wants to move, then sultry jazz, blues and R&B when the night needs to settle. Greg Souter plays guitar, Jeremy Sibson is on percussion and drums. As a trio they cover Ex's and Oh's, Dance Monkey, Valerie, Blinding Lights, Rolling in the Deep, Sex on Fire and Nutbush, alongside Fly Me to the Moon, At Last, Fever and Ain't No Sunshine. The line up can grow to four, five or six with bass, sax, keys or extra vocals if you want a bigger sound. Hobart based, they bring their own PA, and need power and a dry spot to set up.

Mikaela Nichols has a big voice and the band is built to swing it both ways. Pop, rock and dance numbers when you want the floor full, then sultry jazz and blues when the night wants to settle down. Greg Souter is on guitar and Jeremy Sibson plays percussion and drums, and as a trio that's a lot of ground covered. Hobart knows them from bar gigs, but the same three do corporate nights, weddings, birthdays and functions. Extra players can come in for a fuller sound if that's what your room calls for.
On the day
Their own PA comes with them, ready to go. All they're after is a power source and a good dry spot to set up in. Get those two things sorted and there's nothing else for you to organise.
Performance options
Book them as a three piece and you've got the core trio across three sets. From there the line-up grows: four, five or six players, still three sets, with bass guitar, sax, keys or extra vocalists filling out the sound. Bigger rooms and bigger crowds usually want the larger version. A smaller venue is often better served by the trio.
