An entirely live performance and a repertoire reaching from the sixties to current chart songs give Mesa Groove a broad wedding palette. The five piece is a dance band, with styles that include disco, classic rock, funk and soul. You could start by choosing the musical eras that matter to you, then discuss how they might meet on the reception floor. The band puts audience response at the centre of its approach and updates its repertoire with newer chart material alongside older favourites. That repertoire also takes in pop and rock and roll, extending the choices beyond the funk and disco direction.

Five musicians, everything played live, no backing tracks propping anything up. The set moves through rock and roll, classic rock, disco, funk and soul, jumping from sixties material to whatever is high in the charts this month, and they keep adding new songs so the list never goes stale. That range is deliberate. It means a room with grandparents and twenty-year-olds in it can share a dance floor, which is the whole point at a corporate night or a family party.
On the day
PA and stage lighting can come from the band if your room hasn't got any, so a bare function space is workable. They'll also supply background music, which covers the gaps between sets and stops the room going quiet while people eat.
