The act
Melanie has spent 15 years and more in the entertainment business, at home and overseas, working weddings, corporate events, television and radio. That range is what she brings to MCG Entertainment. Weddings are the speciality, and the format flexes to fit the day: solo, duo, three piece, or a full seven-piece band. A typical wedding runs easy acoustic guitar and vocals for an hour or so before the reception or over dinner, classics through to Top 40. Then the party tunes come out for the dance floor, with requests welcome. A quality PA covers the speeches, and there's dance floor and laser lighting. DJ music fills the gaps before, after and between sets, so the room never falls silent. You talk it through beforehand, in person or on a call, and she builds the night around what you actually want.

Performance options
Live music comes as a party duo, a three piece acoustic act, a four piece or a five piece party band. Every one of those includes a good PA with wireless microphones for the speeches, dance floor and laser lighting, and DJ music running before, after and between the live sets. The music spans classics through to current Top 40. A consultation happens before the wedding, in person or on a video call, with phone and email support either side of it. Before the reception or over dinner you can have an hour to an hour and a half of easy acoustic guitar and vocals, then party tunes and your requests once the formalities are done. First dance choreography is separate: three 45 minute lessons, music editing, and the same consultation and support.
