Good to know
What to expect
The brief comes from you and the performance is built to it. Strictly background, a dinner set, or the main event, Mark and the vocalist or ensemble you've chosen will pitch it where you want it. They turn up on time, set up fast, and take up very little room, which matters more than people expect in a tight venue. Pack down is just as quick. Between sets they'll happily chat with guests about the music if that's the atmosphere you're after, or keep a low profile if it isn't.
On the day
One power point. Their sound gear is low profile and goes up in minutes, and it barely eats into the floor space you've set aside, but it still fills a room properly. So you can put them in a corner of the venue rather than surrendering a whole stage area to them.
Performance options
Length is genuinely open, anywhere from a twenty minute spot to a three hour night. The other lever is size: Mark can pull in additional musicians from a wide Melbourne network, so the duo becomes a larger band when the room calls for it. Tell them what the event is and they'll put together something that fits it.
