The act
Twenty years in, Luke Melhop still does the whole range: solo looping in a corner with a guitar, right through to a big band theatre show. He sings, plays guitar and loops, and for anything bigger he pulls in South East Queensland musicians he's worked with for years. The repertoire is wide on purpose. Classic rock, country, folk, funk, soul, Aussie rock and pop, Bob Seger through to Bruno Mars, and he changes course mid-set when the room tells him to. Weddings, corporate events and private functions are the bulk of it. He has several PA and lighting rigs for different sized rooms, and sometimes he doesn't even need power.

Good to know
What to expect
An honest live show, played rather than triggered. Luke's repertoire crosses classic rock, country, folk, funk, soul and Australian pub rock, and he moves between them mid set depending on what the room is giving him. The musicianship is the point. No backing tracks doing the heavy lifting, just a bloke who's been doing this for twenty years reading a crowd and playing to it.
On the day
Luke owns several PA and lighting rigs and brings the one that matches your room, so a corner of a restaurant and a function centre both get the right amount of sound. Power is the only thing he asks for. And depending on the setup, sometimes not even that.
Performance options
He works solo with his own sound and lighting production, or brings in extra musicians from the South East Queensland players he's gigged with for years, right up to a big band. There are all day wedding packages if you want the ceremony, the drinks and the reception covered by the same act, and extended travel arrangements for events further out from Brisbane.
