The act
Anything from an acoustic duo up to eight pieces, out of Brisbane. Little Big City build sets around your theme, and they mean it: country, pop, rock, R&B, jazz, soul, bossa, and every decade from the sixties on. Ask early and they'll learn songs you want. The night usually gets a balanced mix through dinner then turns upbeat when it's time to dance. What sets them apart is the admin: they confirm the schedule, parking, dress code and your contact three days out, arrive an hour early to set up and sound check, and they've never cancelled a booked event. Harmonies are the strong suit. They bring their own gear and need power and a flat, safe space.

Good to know
What to expect
Most of what makes a booking painless happens before the day, and that's where this lot are strong. Once you book, they'll confirm the schedule, parking and setup details, who they're liaising with on the day, the theme and the dress code. You can request specific songs, artists or genres, and the earlier you ask the better, because they'll learn new material if there's time. Then they check in again at least three days out to make sure nothing's changed. They arrive an hour early. And they've never cancelled a booked event, which is worth more than any adjective.
On the day
They're there an hour before you need them, setting up and running a sound check. At least three days out they'll sort the parking situation and confirm the best contact for the day, so arrival and setup are planned rather than improvised. On site they need a power source and a safe, flat space for the band's gear. Useful things to tell them: how big the performance area is, indoors or outdoors, and whether they're standing on grass or a hard surface.
Performance options
It scales from two people to six. An acoustic duo is a female vocalist with a guitarist. The trio adds a second vocalist, the quartet adds a second guitarist on top of that, and from there you can bring in a drummer, then keys as well for the fullest sound. The usual shape is up to three 45 minute sets, or the equivalent, inside a four hour window. They bring their own equipment and only need power. If none of those line-ups is quite right, they're happy to work one out with you.
