The act
Every LA BOUM cover gets rearranged before it reaches the stage. This Brisbane outfit rebuilds songs with samples, looping and live instruments alongside guest performers, playing to a click track so the groove stays locked in for dancing. For larger shows they can sync the whole set with lights and video. They perform every week and have played everything from stadiums down to small rooms, so run sheet changes on the day don't rattle them. One corporate client said they played longer than expected and had everyone loving it. It's a covers band, but not a jukebox one.

What to expect
You get a band that turns up when they said they would, plays well, and is easy to deal with on the day. That sounds like faint praise until you've had the opposite. LA BOUM gig every week and have played rooms of every size, so a run sheet that changes an hour before doors doesn't rattle them. The music is where the real work shows. Every cover gets pulled apart and rebuilt before it reaches your stage, so you're not hearing the radio version played back at you.
On the day
They can bring small to medium scale production with them, which covers clubs and most smaller events without you having to source a thing. For bigger rooms, or if you want the lighting and sound to be a feature rather than just functional, that's worth flagging early. Tell them the venue size and what's already installed when you enquire, and they'll work out whether their own rig covers it.
