What to expect
Two voices that sit well together, one rough and one smooth, with live percussion driving it rather than everything coming off a track. Brooke and Crawford Webb have been playing as KULAZ since 1998, in venues from Brisbane to Sydney and overseas. The repertoire is pop, pop-rock, reggae, ballads and dance from the 70s onward. They'll make announcements through the day if you need them to, play live as often as your run sheet allows, and time their breaks around your formalities. Between-set playlists get built from your own suggestions.
On the day
Roughly 2.5 by 2.5 metres of performance space and a power outlet. If you're outdoors, shelter in case the weather turns. A couple of chairs for their breaks is appreciated. All the PA and lighting comes with them.
Performance options
The act scales from a duo up to a four piece, with saxophone, guitar or extra vocals added at the larger end. Set structure follows the length of your event: a five hour function gets four one hour sets with twenty minute breaks, a four hour one gets four 45 minute sets, and a three hour booking runs three 50 minute sets with shorter gaps. Weddings include a face-to-face meeting about your musical taste, confirmation of the run of events with your venue, liaison with your MC on the day, mic and amplification for the speeches if the venue has none, and song cues for the moments that matter. Travel up to 150km return is covered, and they're on site two hours before the start.
