He's fully self-contained with his own PA, guitar and pedalboard, so all he needs is a flat two-by-two metre space, a power point within about ten metres and cover if it's outdoors. Kane Maher brings everything: his own professional PA, microphone, guitar and pedalboard. What he needs from you is a stable, flat performance area of about 2 by 2 metres, and one or two standard power points within ten metres of it. Indoors or undercover is preferred, and outdoors is fine in good weather so long as there's shelter from the elements. No rider. Setup and pack-down take around half an hour each way and stay out of the way of your event.
Three shapes. Solo acoustic is Kane with the full PA, guitar and vocals, which suits pubs, private parties and corporate functions, and sets run from 45 minutes up to multiple sets across a night. Add live looping and he builds the songs up as he plays, layering percussion, harmonies and instrumental parts in real time for a much bigger sound. Or bring in a drummer for the duo, which lifts the energy again and is the one to pick if you want a dance floor. Every option includes the sound gear, setup and pack-down, requests taken on the night, and set lengths worked around your run sheet.
