The act
Salsa, cumbia, merengue, and Latin rock covers played by six people in Sydney who have come up through the Latin festival circuit around the country. Kachimbaz keeps the classics recognisable while putting their own turn on them, and the show carries a fair bit of humour and surprise alongside the playing. The line-up can be built out to ten pieces with sound, lights and an MC for bigger events. They'll supply a sound system on request. Public liability cover is available if your venue needs it. Anything from a wedding to a festival stage suits them, so long as there's room to dance.

Good to know
What to expect
Six players, and the show has as much laughter and surprise in it as it does music. Kachimbaz came up through the Latin festival circuit around Australia, so salsa, cumbia, merengue and Latin rock covers are second nature to them. The classics stay recognisable, but there's always a turn of their own in the arrangement. It's built for a room with space to dance.
On the day
If your venue has no sound system, they can supply one on request. Where the venue provides backline, the band needs a bass amp, guitar amps including a stacked one, amps for the two keyboards, a complete drum kit with mics, powered PA speakers, plus the XLR and jack cables and mic stands to go with it. Public liability cover is available if your venue asks for it.
Performance options
The standard booking is the six piece. For a larger event the line-up can be built out to ten players and supplied with sound equipment, lighting and an MC, which turns it into a full stage production rather than a band in the corner.
