The act
This should suit couples who want a six piece wedding band built around strong harmonies and music from several party decades. The lineup combines male and female vocals, two guitarists, bass and drums. Its covers move through favourites from the seventies, eighties, nineties and 2000s, ranging all the way from ABBA to Zeppelin. Every member is a seasoned player with experience in different lineups, tribute shows and work alongside other acts. The strongest feature is the dual vocal and harmony sound of six musicians who clearly enjoy playing familiar party music together.

What to expect
Six players, two voices, and harmonies that do the heavy lifting. Kaboom! open loud and stay there. The material runs from ABBA through to Led Zeppelin with a long stretch of party songs in between, and the male and female vocals trading lines is what separates this from the average pub covers outfit. It's a dancing band, not a background one. Everyone on stage has been playing since the nineties, so the transitions are tight and the energy doesn't sag in the second hour. Expect a room on its feet rather than a room politely listening.
On the day
Kaboom! need a stage area with cover over it, because six people and their gear don't mix with weather. A PA and someone to run it are the other requirement. If your venue hasn't got either, the band can sort it out for you, and the right size depends on how big the room is, so mention the space when you enquire.
