Eighteen years in, Jumpstart still work the way a good function band should: read the room, pull the right songs out of a long list, keep every age group on the floor. Five of them, out of Melbourne, on guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals. The set covers hits from the 60s through to the 2000s, from A Hard Day's Night and Brown Eyed Girl to Blink 182 and Dua Lipa, with plenty of Australian rock in between. They've played pubs and clubs, milestone birthdays, weddings and corporate nights. PA, lights and a stage setup scaled to the room all come with them, and an MC and speech breaks can be worked in.

Good to know
What to expect
Five players out of Melbourne working through the hits people actually want to hear, from the 60s through to the 2000s, with a decent run of Australian rock in there. Eighteen years of doing it means they read a room quickly. The set stays on the dance side of things rather than sitting politely in the background, and they'll pull songs out of a long list depending on who's in front of them.
On the day
The stage setup, PA and lighting all get scaled to the room, so a function space and a big venue each get something that fits rather than a rig that's wrong for the size. Talk to them about your space and they'll sort the arrangement.
Performance options
An MC can be included if you'd rather not hand the microphone to a nervous relative, and they'll build breaks into the sets for speeches so the formalities aren't fighting the band for attention.
