Born on the Sunshine Coast, Joey Lanskey finished a Diploma in Music at the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE in 2008 and has been gigging ever since, up and down the east coast and through South Australia. Years in original and cover bands introduced him to a lot of good players, and he still collaborates with plenty of them. Cairns is home now. Solo, duo or full band, he plays a wide spread of music with originals mixed in, and he shapes it to whoever's in front of him. Playing to a crowd that's actually enjoying itself is the whole reason he does it. Weddings and corporate gigs too.
