Sway Jazz Ensemble

The act

Sway Jazz Ensemble is a Melbourne-based jazz trio.

What you’ll notice first is the shape of it: an acoustic jazz trio at the core, with the option to add a vocalist, a saxophonist, or both for a fuller five piece sound. For a wedding, that gives you room to keep things soft and atmospheric through canapes or dinner, then lift the energy later without leaving the same warm jazz world behind. They’re based in Melbourne and built around timeless jazz style rather than a big showy setup, which feels especially right for intimate and mid sized rooms. And that ability to tailor the set from refined background music to something more upbeat is the part that stands out most.
