Jazz Central

Ruby Zoontjens is an Adelaide-based jazz singer.
The first thing you'll notice is the voice: warm, wide-ranging, and jazz-centred, with hints of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Veronica Swift and Jazzmeia Horn in the mix. Ruby Zoontjens fronts jazz bands, sings solo and takes cross-genre work, so this could suit a ceremony song, canapes or a laid-back dinner set at your wedding. She's based in Adelaide and completed a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at the Elder Conservatorium, specialising in voice. There’s real range in her background too, from ceremonial appearances around the country with the Royal Australian Navy Band to the 2025 Helpmann Academy Award for Voice and a performance at A Night of Jazz alongside Linda May Han Oh.
