Born in Lithuania, at home in Australia now, Ivy Amara writes and sings like someone who has spent a lot of time on the road paying attention. The voice is pure and stirring, the lyrics tender and raw, and the guitar underneath stays soft enough to leave room for both. She's built a following in the Cairns live music scene and played the 2024 Tablelands Folk Festival, and her self produced single Back to Me has found listeners well beyond it. Live she'll run up to three hours of covers, Brown Eyed Girl, Valerie, Redemption Song, Big Jet Plane, mixed with a custom DJ set, or an entire set of originals if you want something no one else has had.
