Weddings, engagements, birthdays, anniversaries, pubs, country nights, hoedowns and sporting club functions all sit on his list. The setlist is enormous: pop, rock, country, soul, Elvis and the 50s and 60s, 70s and 80s classics, 90s and 00s favourites, current hits and his own country rock originals. Perfect, Tennessee Whiskey, Wicked Game, Watermelon Sugar, Ain't No Sunshine, Easy. He takes requests, arrives on time and brings his own PA and party lighting. Kids' party entertainment and wedding MC work are available too. He needs a level three by three metre space, power within ten metres, and shelter if it's outdoors. Hayden Blaby turns up as whatever your night needs. One bloke with a guitar, a DJ, DJ and sax, or a full band. He takes requests and he likes getting them, and the setlist covers a lot of ground: pop, rock, country, soul, Elvis, the 50s and 60s through to current hits. His own PA comes with him. He's on time, he sorts out what your event actually needs beforehand, and he can move between singing and DJing to keep the dance floor going.
On the day
Hayden needs a clear, level area of at least 3m by 3m for himself and the gear. Power has to be within ten metres of that spot for the PA and instruments. If it's outdoors, cover over the equipment is essential. He can bring party lighting himself, but the room still needs enough light for people to see and for him to work. And easy access to the performance area keeps pack-in and pack-down quick.
Performance options
You can book Hayden as a DJ for a private party or a wedding reception. Or live: solo on vocals and guitar for a ceremony, a canape hour of about an hour, a full reception, or any private function. Step it up and there's a three piece with Hayden plus a drummer and bassist, which suits a reception where dancing is the point. He also does wedding MC work if you'd rather not hand that job to an uncle.
