The act
Andrew studied jazz guitar at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and has played in bands for over 30 years. Clare has sung in choirs and bands for more than 20. Together they're Harmonique, an acoustic duo out of Cairns with a repertoire of well over a hundred songs plus originals of their own. The range is broad and a little unpredictable: Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon is a popular request, and there's Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Adele, Radiohead, The Beatles and Lady Gaga in there too. They bring their own PA and lighting and just ask that the performance area is out of the weather. They'll also learn a particular favourite, or write a song for the occasion. Andrew teaches guitar and records other artists between gigs.

Good to know
What to expect
Harmonique have well over a hundred songs on the list, plus originals of their own, and you get to pick what suits the occasion. Everything comes through the same acoustic filter, guitar and two voices, which is what makes a Pink Floyd track and an Adele track sit together without it feeling odd. Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Radiohead, The Beatles and Lady Gaga are all in there. Tell them the kind of night you're after and the set gets built to match.
On the day
PA and lighting both come with the duo, so there's nothing to hire. The one thing they ask is that wherever they're set up is out of the weather. Wet gear is dead gear.
Performance options
Weddings, parties, venues, they'll play any of them. Beyond the standard set there are a couple of extras worth knowing about. They'll learn a song that matters to you, or build a list around a theme night. And they can write an original song for the occasion and perform it on the day, with the option of recording it properly afterwards so you keep it.
