The act
Half Pint brought the Deep South to Sydney. The set is either an intimate mix of jazz standards, blues, bossa novas, contemporary jazz and originals, or a groovier run of pop, soul and rock across the decades from Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder through to Amy Winehouse, Adele and Jamiroquai. Guitar and double bass do the heavy lifting under the vocals, and there are more than 50 jazz standards in the book. They work corporate events, weddings, private parties, bars and clubs from the city out to the Blue Mountains. Available as a duo, trio or full band. Behind the music there's someone organised running the admin, which matters more than people expect. All musicians insured.

Good to know
What to expect
A gig that looks effortless usually is not, and the difference is in the organising. Alongside experienced musicians you're dealing with someone who runs the business end properly, so timings, details and questions get sorted before the day rather than on it. That's less glamorous than the music and it's the reason the music goes smoothly.
On the day
Access to power is the only fixed requirement. Everything else, space and setup, depends on your venue, so tell them where it is and how the room works and they'll tell you what they need.
Performance options
Three sizes are on offer. The duo is guitar and double bass under the vocals, the trio adds a third player, and the full band is the biggest version of the same repertoire. Pick by the size of the space, and by how much sound you actually want in it. Several things shape the quote beyond the line-up: which day of the week you are on, whether it is an afternoon or a late night, how far the trip is, and how long you need them playing. Christmas Day and New Year's Eve are handled as their own case.
