The band was terrific and extremely professional. I spoke to Benno several times in the event's lead up, to make sure everything was sorted and he was extremely accommodating. The band sounded great and the almost 100 people, comprising three generations of friends and family, loved the music - most got up and danced, including my 79 year old mum.The band also agreed to allow my daughter Talya to play drums while my husband played his guitar to the Rolling Stones' Jumping Jack Flash - they are both musicians. This was extremely generous of the band, as none of them would have known Elio and Talya could play. I even got up to sing/mime Flame Trees- my all time favourite song. I mimed as I didn't want to sing over the band's sensational singer. My friends did that. It was truly a night to remember and I couldn't of asked for more. The act
Funk, disco, RnB and rock and roll, played by six musicians who all came through WAAPA or the Conservatorium. That training shows up in the details: Groove Town read a room and pick the part of their repertoire that suits it, which is why they work as well at a corporate dinner as they do at a wedding reception. They turn up with full production, so PA, lighting and a sound engineer are part of the deal rather than something you chase separately. Available as a duo, a trio, or anything from four to six pieces if the room or the budget calls for it.
