Groove Merchants
The act
Five years together, more than 500 shows in Australia and overseas, and a reputation in Melbourne as a band worth booking twice. Groove Merchants pull from funk, soul, r&b, disco, jazz, 80s hits, indie pop and older gems, and they play the lot with a bit of humour in it. They've done the 2016 David Jones VIP Marquee at the Caulfield Cup, rooftop cocktail bars, packed pubs, backyard dinner parties and full wedding receptions. So the volume moves with the room, from quiet background music through to a sweaty dance floor. The line up runs anywhere from two players up to five, and horns can be added if you ask.

The band did a fabulous job performing live at QV Hidden Garden for Channel Nine’s Sunrise six live crosses. They created an amazing summer atmosphere which transcended perfectly into the space and everyone’s lounge rooms at home. Her voice is stunning and has such fluid ranges from jazzy blues to her take on today’s hits. The band are an inspiring act to work with and we would recommend them for any event program.

I can’t thank the band enough for their wonderful performance at our corporate event in September 2012. Her voice is absolutely beautiful and they have a great range of music from funky jazz to classic hits that get everyone up and dancing and more modern songs that even the hippest crowd will appreciate! Often corporate events can be a bit stuffy and dull but the band really made the event a huge hit and had everyone up dancing and enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend them for any event!
