A full six member sound and a wide spread of dance songs give Good Sugar an inclusive room filling mood. Male and female material crosses classic rock, pop, blues, R&B, soul, funk, alternative music and cool jazz. The repertoire is intended to reach several generations, giving you scope to think about the different ages sharing your wedding. Some tracks receive the band's own groove and twists, adding its character to the familiar genre mix. What to expect
Six players, and a big enough sound to fill a room without a backing track propping it up. The song choices are built around dancing, drawing from classic rock, pop, blues, R&B, soul, funk and a bit of jazz, with lead vocals shared between men and women so nobody's favourite gets left off. Now and then they'll put their own spin on a track rather than copying the record. And it holds up in front of a mixed crowd - a room running from twenty year olds to seventy year olds is the room they're used to.
On the day
They'd rather your venue supplied the PA with a sound engineer on the desk, since a six piece sounds best when somebody who knows the room is mixing it. If that isn't an option, they'll bring their own system instead. Ask the venue what's in the building before you book, and let the band know either way.
