The act
Six players, one very wide net. Good Sugar Band work through classic rock, pop, blues, R&B, soul, funk, alternative and a bit of cool jazz, pulling hits sung by men and women alike so nobody at the party feels left out. They'll put their own twist on a track now and then rather than copy the record note for note. The point of the whole thing is dancing, and the song choices are built around that. They can bring a sound system, though they'd rather the venue supplied a PA with an engineer on site. Melbourne based, and comfortable in front of a room where the age range runs from twenty to seventy.

What to expect

Now and then they'll put their own spin on a track rather than copying the record. And it holds up in front of a mixed crowd - a room running from twenty year olds to seventy year olds is the room they're used to.
On the day
They'd rather your venue supplied the PA with a sound engineer on the desk, since a six piece sounds best when somebody who knows the room is mixing it. If that isn't an option, they'll bring their own system instead. Ask the venue what's in the building before you book, and let the band know either way.
