Their material reaches from the forties to the eighties through soul, jazz, blues, folk, soft rock and pop. Frank's work as a composer, arranger and studio musician sits alongside Carol's tribute repertoire, which includes Olivia Newton-John and other established singers. What to expect
Two people, two long careers. Frank plays keys, composes and produces, and his studio work as a musician, arranger and programmer has put him on albums with Judith Durham, Grace Knight, Michael Hutchence and Mark Moffatt, with his own compositions released through EMI, Sony and Move Records. Carol has a set list past 200 songs across every genre and decade, and takes an Olivia Newton-John tribute show around Melbourne clubs, hotels and RSLs. Other shows in her range cover 70s hits, country, and tributes to Ella Fitzgerald, Karen Carpenter, Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Dionne Warwick.
On the day
A power point, and a small table for the vocalist's mixer. That's genuinely the whole list, which makes Gin Jams easy to fit into a room that was never designed for live music.
