The act
Piano, keyboard and vocals, working through classic hits from the 40s to the 80s with a twist on the arrangements. Gin Jams cover blues and soul, jazz, folk, pop and softer rock, and the same pair can play it two ways: quiet enough to sit under conversation, or lively enough to start the dancing. Frank plays keys, composes and produces, and his studio work has taken in Judith Durham, Grace Knight, Michael Hutchence and Mark Moffatt, with releases through EMI, Sony and Move Records. Carol carries a set list past 200 songs and performs an Olivia Newton-John tribute show around Melbourne clubs and hotels. They cover Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Dusty Springfield, Etta Jones and more, and can learn a song for the occasion. A trio or quartet is available. Power point and a small table is all the setup takes.

Good to know
What to expect
Two people, two long careers. Frank plays keys, composes and produces, and his studio work as a musician, arranger and programmer has put him on albums with Judith Durham, Grace Knight, Michael Hutchence and Mark Moffatt, with his own compositions released through EMI, Sony and Move Records. Carol has a set list past 200 songs across every genre and decade, and takes an Olivia Newton-John tribute show around Melbourne clubs, hotels and RSLs. Other shows in her range cover 70s hits, country, and tributes to Ella Fitzgerald, Karen Carpenter, Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Dionne Warwick.
On the day
A power point, and a small table for the vocalist's mixer. That's genuinely the whole list, which makes Gin Jams easy to fit into a room that was never designed for live music.
