The act
Classic soul, done properly. Georgie and the Tonics, or G&Ts, run as a ten piece big band with a four or five piece horn section built to handle the Motown, STAX and Atlantic arrangements the way they were written. There's a smaller version too, two to five pieces on piano, bass, guitar, light drums and vocals, which suits a Sunday afternoon at a wine bar better than a full brass assault. Lead singer Georgie Bannard appeared on X Factor, and Lauren Bannard has performed in musicals and festivals. The band works pubs, clubs, corporate events, parties and festivals, and has a soft spot for musical theatre.
