Two one hour sets is the usual shape, and they're full of ceilidh dances people already half know. The Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Strip the Willow. What Gallus Ceilidh Band do differently is mash the traditional tunes with bits of Avicii, Faithless, The White Stripes, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses and Franz Ferdinand, so the reels land somewhere between a Highland hall and a party. Energy is the whole point. And if your day needs a different shape, they'll tailor it.
There are eight people in this band, so the stage needs to be a decent size to fit them all comfortably. The PA is theirs, so that's one less thing for the venue to organise.
