The act
Twelve string and slide guitar, smoky vocals with a bit of sass in them. This Adelaide duo won the ARBA Memphis Blues Challenge duo section in 2022 and went to Memphis in January 2023, playing Blues City Cafe and King Jerry's on Beale Street. Later that year they supported Bondi Cigars and Walter Trout. Two albums, Going Down To Memphis and Three Kings & Elvis, have been doing the community radio rounds. The set mixes originals in an old-school swing and boogie style with covers of Ruth Brown, Jimmy Reed, T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Albert King and Nina Simone. Sets from two 45s up to three 45s plus a 30. They bring their own PA, mics, stands and stools, and are happy to run their own sound.

Good to know
What to expect
Twelve string and slide guitar, played by one of Adelaide's better blues guitarists, with vocals that carry a bit of smoke and a good deal of sass. The set moves between blues infused originals and covers reworked rather than reproduced. It's a duo, so there's space in the sound, and the songs get room to breathe.
On the day
They can bring their own PA, mics and stands, and they're happy to run their own sound if that helps you. They bring their own seats and stools too, so there's nothing to chase up on the day.
Set List
Covers come from the blues catalogue proper: Ruth Brown, Jimmy Reed, T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Albert King and Nina Simone among others. Sitting alongside those are their own songs, written in an old school swing and boogie style, and there are plenty of them. The originals are the ones that get feet going.
Performance options
Booking length is the main choice here. The shortest option is two sets of 45 minutes. Add a third 45 and you've got a longer night, and there's a version on top of that with three 45s followed by a closing half hour. All of it comes with their own PA, mics, stands and stools, and they'll run the sound themselves.
