The act
Francesca and Pat have been playing together for forty years, and it shows in the harmonies. Espresso are a Perth duo working out of Guildford, sometimes expanding to three or four pieces with bass and percussion when a gig calls for it. Lead and rhythm guitar sit under vocals, moving between bluesy country and rock, indie, folk of the contemporary sort, and a bit of loose jazz, with instrumentals threaded through. Their set list stretches from the 20s to the present, and it's the kind that turns up songs you'd forgotten you loved. Dance floor numbers are in there for anyone who wants them. They'll learn and arrange a special request, and they bring their own full PA.

Espresso keep a big list of songs and instrumentals and pick from it based on the event in front of them, so a dinner needing atmosphere and a night wanting a bit more lift get different sets. Expect songs you loved and had quietly forgotten. Ask them to learn something that matters to you and they'll arrange it. It's music that works across generations at the same table, which is rarer than it sounds.
On the day
Espresso arrive with their full PA, so sound is handled. Lighting they leave open, because it depends so heavily on the room and the time of day that promising anything in advance would be guesswork. If your event needs it, say so when you enquire and they'll organise something.
