The act
Backing tracks and a looper let Ellen Tefanis fill a room the way a band would, on her own. She picks songs to match the occasion rather than running the same set everywhere, moving between upbeat numbers and chilled ones, and she covers ground from the 50s through to now. Country, rock, pop, whatever the crowd wants. Requests are welcome. She works Adelaide weddings, venues and events as a soloist or as part of a duo, needs a power point, and can bring a PA for most jobs.

What to expect
Song choice is where Ellen puts the work in. A venue gig, a wedding and a corporate event are three different rooms, and she picks the material for whichever one you've booked rather than running the same list everywhere. Expect a mix through the night: catchy things people know, some upbeat stretches, and chilled sections where the music sits under the conversation. The range runs from the 1950s through to now and takes in a lot of genres, so there's something in there for the older guests and the younger ones. And if there's a song that matters to you, ask for it.
On the day
Access to a power source is what she needs to run her equipment. A PA isn't something you have to organise either, since she can supply one for the majority of performances.
