Sharon and Rob have spent years in the music industry and it shows in how easily they read a crowd. The rapport with an audience is the part people notice first. Their songbook stretches from the 1950s through to now, which means a room with grandparents, parents and twenty-somethings in it all get something they recognise. The harmonies are their signature and the reason the sound holds up on the quieter material as much as the up-tempo stuff. Not a duo who play at you. They play to the room in front of them.
On the day
Two things. They need electricity, so a power point within reach of where they're playing. And if you've put them outdoors, they need shelter, because the gear can't sit in the weather. A marquee, a verandah or a covered deck all do the job. Sort both of those and there's nothing else on the list.
Performance options
