The act
A powerhouse lead voice beside a multi instrumentalist gives Duplicity a striking two person identity. Sue Kidd and Brendan Canty perform classic covers alongside original songs written to connect directly with listeners. Their wedding repertoire crosses rock, pop, blues, folk, country and reggae, giving the duo room to change colour without changing personnel. Established in 2017, Duplicity also performs as a ukulele duo and has built experience across Australian and New Zealand festivals. Their strongest moment would come when guests can focus on Sue's voice and the contrast between originals and familiar songs.

What to expect
Duplicity have been going since 2017 and gig regularly around Melbourne venues. Support slots have included Lucy Wise, Hannah Schmidli, The Screamin' Eagles, Paul Jonson from New Zealand, Canada's Manitoba Hal Brolund and Dead Man's Uke out of the UK. The festival circuit is where they're busiest, across both Australia and New Zealand. Headline appearances take in the 4 String Festival and the Launceston Ukulele Jamboree, the Blue Mountains and Melbourne Ukulele Festivals, the Girgarre Moosic Muster, and the Penola-Coonawarra Acoustic Music Gathering. Alongside the general gigging they also work as a ukulele duo and run ukulele workshops, at festivals and for corporate team building days.
