Dr Boogie
The act
Dr Boogie is a five piece Perth party band with three lead vocalists out front and electronic drums, synthesisers, sample pads and bass behind them. They've headlined three outdoor festivals. The set runs current Top 40 played close to the radio versions, older dance hits, old school RnB mash-ups and some cabaret repertoire, so it moves through decades without losing the room. It's a visual act as much as a musical one, with the outfits and staging doing real work. Suitable for all ages, and built to get people dancing early rather than after supper.
