The act
Don's Party is a six-piece out of Frankston made up of musicians who came up through the original pub rock scene, and it shows in how tight the sets are. The night opens with Crunchy Granola Suite and works through Nutbush, Bow River, the Doobie Brothers and a long run of the songs people already know every word to. Cold Chisel, Fleetwood Mac, INXS, The Divinyls, Neil Diamond, Tina Turner. Classic rock, Aussie anthems and a few duets, mostly from the 70s, 80s and 90s. They bring their own PA, lighting and gear, and they'll need a decent patch of floor for six people. You bring dancing shoes.

What to expect
A night of no-nonsense rock and roll from a six piece who came up through the original pub rock circuit. The sets are tight and the songs are ones you'll know: Cold Chisel, Fleetwood Mac, INXS, The Divinyls, Neil Diamond, Tina Turner, classic rock and Aussie pub anthems from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Craig Smith and Gabrielle Parbo share the front, and the duets are where they really trade off each other, harmonies plus banter between songs. Behind them are veteran players with decades of stage time and the kind of polish nobody picks up quickly. Dance, sing along, or stand there with a drink and enjoy it.
On the day
Six people need a bit of room, so a decent patch of floor is the main ask. PA, lighting and all the band gear travels with them, so there's nothing to hire and nothing for the venue to source. Bring dancing shoes and that's your side of the deal done.
