What to expect
Weddings, parties and karaoke, and a request you throw at him mid-song can be playing a minute later. His controller connects straight to a streaming service, so the library is effectively everything, and what he holds himself plays back as lossless FLAC. Sound comes from two JBL PRX ONE column arrays with subs built in, and more JBL boxes get added as the crowd grows. Lighting is a light bar, two moving heads and a laser, plus a smoke machine chosen because it won't set off the alarms. Three wireless mics mean the singalong can happen without anyone crowding around one microphone.
On the day
He owns and brings the lot, right down to the table, so nothing needs hiring in. Allow him at least an hour before your start time to get set up properly. If there are live instruments in the mix, his six channel mixer takes them, and mic or keyboard stands come free when you ask ahead.
Set List
There's no set list to approve, because the controller is online. Whatever gets called out on the night can go on straight away.
Performance options
The booking is put together around your event rather than sold as a fixed bundle. Two things move it: how long you need him for, and which sound rig you want. There's a budget setup and a pro setup, and the pro option brings the bigger speakers and the heavier gear. Where the venue sits also comes into it, since suburb affects the run. Give him the date, the hours and the venue and he'll shape it from there.
