The act
Based on North Stradbroke Island and covering everything from the Sunshine Coast down to the bay islands. The live set leans cruisy and beachy, then lifts into old and modern classics, all built through a loop station with multiple instruments layered up. Think Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, Angus & Julia Stone, John Butler, Van Morrison, Paul Kelly, Pete Murray, Creedence. The DJ side is where the experience really shows. Anyone can push a song through big speakers, but keeping a floor full for hours is a different skill, and hundreds of gigs have gone into reading a crowd properly. MC work is part of the package too, and there's a chauffeur service alongside it. All professional gear is supplied, including an off-grid power option.

What to expect
Two very different halves. The live set is laid back and beachy, acoustic mashups built up live through a loop station with several instruments layered on top of each other, then lifted with old and modern classics. The DJ side is where the hours show. Anyone can push a song through big speakers. Keeping a floor moving for hours takes reading the room, and that's come out of hundreds of gigs. He also MCs, in a fairly comic style, so the announcements don't kill the mood. And there's Gloria, a 1974 Kombi, which can turn up and be the stage or the DJ booth.
On the day
All the gear is his own and it's professional kit. Usually power at the site is the only thing asked for, and even that isn't strictly necessary, because there's an off-grid power system that can come along for spots with nothing to plug into.
