House, disco, funk, RnB and hip hop form the heart of DJ Ivy de Vill's sound, with classic oldies ready to enter the mix. Her library has grown through decades of searching, including personal edits, mashups, rare finds and familiar music heard from a new angle. Before your wedding she wants to understand the room, your guests and the feeling you want, then shape the night with you. Requests are welcome, as is a list of songs you do not want played. The strongest feature is her plan to read the celebration live, sometimes holding back for speeches and sometimes leading the floor elsewhere.

What to expect
A conversation comes first. Who's on the guest list, what sort of room you've booked, and the mood you're hoping for by ten o'clock. Nothing is scripted, because the music gets planned for your people rather than pulled off a shelf. Then it gets read live on the day. Some moments call for the volume down so laughter and speeches carry properly; others call for stepping up and pushing the floor somewhere. Sound, lighting and staging all sit with one person, which means no juggling separate production companies in the last week, and nothing left for you to run on the night.
On the day
An accessible power point is the requirement. If rain is a possibility, the DJ position needs to be under cover. That's the whole list, which is deliberate, since everything else including the sound, lighting and staging arrives as part of the booking.
Set List
Decades of digging sit behind this library. There's a track chased down after hearing it in a film opening, a version fallen for while watching an idol play back home, plus self-made edits, mashups and rare finds, familiar songs reshaped into something recognisably hers. On the night any of it can surface, whether that's a record your guests haven't thought about in fifteen years or a build that picks the entire room up at once. Requests are welcome, and so is a do-not-play list. Sometimes that one's more useful.
Performance options
Three things shape a booking: the hours you want covered, the size of the room, and whether the night needs full production or simply a DJ and good sound. Private celebrations tend to sit at the simpler end of that. Bigger builds are the weddings and corporate evenings wanting lighting and staging alongside a longer set. Regional work is covered as well, out through the Swan Valley and down to Busselton and Margaret River, with travel and a night's accommodation built in.
