The act
One acoustic guitar, voice and carefully built loops give Dave Mason a clear solo sound with room for rhythmic movement. His repertoire moves through blues, folk and pop, taking in older covers, modern hits and some original songs. The looper adds rhythm and allows lead passages, expanding what the guitar can do during your wedding. Dave can move from music around dining to singalongs and dancing, with friendly audience interaction joining the change in pace. What to expect
One guitar, one voice, and a looper doing the work a rhythm section would normally do. That frees Dave Mason up to take lead breaks over the top of himself, which is a neat trick to watch as well as hear. The level moves with the room. Early on it sits under conversation while people eat. Later, if the night is heading that way, the same setup will carry a singalong or push people onto the floor. He reads which one you want rather than deciding for you, and he talks to the crowd between songs instead of staring at the fretboard all night.
On the day
One power point. That's the whole list. The audio gear is his, so nobody at the venue has to go looking for a PA or work out who owns which cable. A bar stool is what he'd choose if you're setting up the space anyway, though he's played plenty of nights on an ordinary chair, and plenty more standing up. So if the corner you've got in mind is short on furniture, it still works.
