Forty years in, Dan Whyman is still writing his own songs. He learned the trade playing covers around Sydney pubs through the 80s, then co-founded The Blind Mullets, a musical comedy duo well known in that same city. In 1989 he was among the founders of the Society of Australian Songwriters. Since then: television, radio, and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. The songs are Australian to the bone and funnier than most, from the cheeky 'Far Kurnell' to 'Mate I Love This Country'. Expect to laugh and to sing along. He performs solo from the Central Coast, and needs power and a small stage area. Stage plot available. Public liability cover is in place.
