Coastal Sound is a Perth-based cover band.
Acoustic and semi acoustic covers from the sixties to today form the core of Coastal Sound's repertoire. The group is continuing to learn material and can bring electric guitars into a set when the occasion calls for them. Craig's background includes playing bass in several bands through the nineties and two thousands around Perth and the South West. Coastal Sound came together from a shared enjoyment of performing live music, a simple foundation you can picture carrying into a wedding. This suits couples who prefer a familiar, decade spanning songbook and the option to add more electric colour.

Mostly acoustic and semi acoustic, drawn from the sixties right through to whatever's current. Coastal Sound keep adding songs rather than settling into one fixed list, and electric guitars come out when a track needs the extra weight. It suits a room where people want to hear each other talk between songs but still recognise everything being played.
Two things only. Power, and somewhere under cover if the forecast looks doubtful. Instruments and gear don't cope with rain, so an outdoor booking needs a roof of some kind sorted before the day rather than improvised at the last minute. Beyond that they work with what the room gives them.
