The act
Class Act Creative build entertainment around the room rather than dropping an act into it. On the Gold Coast, that runs from full stage productions with dancers, singers and specialty performers, right down to a single roving performer working a cocktail crowd. The roster is genuinely wide: acrobats, contortionists, aerial and circus, fire performers, burlesque and cabaret, drag, flamenco and hip hop dancers, human statues, magicians, bands, duos and trios, face painters and costumes. They work corporate events, weddings, nightclubs and shopping centres. AV and staging come from the client. Performers hold current public liability insurance, plus RSA certificates where alcohol is served and Blue Cards for work with children, and the company pays award rates with superannuation and workers compensation.

Good to know
What to expect
The planning starts well before anyone performs. You'll deal with a team that handles the communication and the onsite running of it, so the entertainment slots into your night instead of sitting awkwardly beside it. On the day, the performers and costumes are the visible part. What sits underneath is somebody managing the timing, the changeovers and the bits your guests never notice. It's built around what your event actually is rather than dropped in ready made, and the options get put to you before anything is locked in.
On the day
The audio visual side and any staging are yours to organise. Class Act Creative bring the performers and the costumes; the sound, the screens and the platform they work from come from your end or your venue's. Worth sorting early, because a roving act needs very little and a full stage production with dancers needs a proper deck, so the answer changes depending on which shape of show you book.
