Mick and Dan have been playing together since 2009, and Brightside have racked up hundreds of weddings, corporate events and pub gigs in that time. They've held house band residencies at The Botanical in South Yarra, the Half Moon in Brighton and Big Mouth in St Kilda. The two of them like talking to a crowd and they tell jokes, some of which land. But they'll also sit back and play ambient instrumental music with no interaction at all if that's what the room needs. The song list keeps growing, and with enough notice they'll learn something specific for your day.

Being a singer myself, I was really fussy about the music for our wedding reception. As soon as I heard Brightside, I knew we had found our band! Our guests were applauding after their first acoustic number and the dance floor was packed the whole night! I lost count of how many people commented how fantastic Brightside were. The guys were fantastic, very flexible at the start of the evening as we managed the meals and speeches firstly, then they worked in so well with the guest, and sounded great , I would love to have them again , there were many comments of them through out the evening and all of an excellent comment, thank you for arranging them, very impressed Regards
