Good to know
What to expect
This is a live layer over the top of your DJ rather than a replacement for one. Mark on Drums plays alongside whoever is running the music and adds the thing a laptop can't: real hands on real skins, timing that responds to the room. Guests hear the difference, and they see it too, because the bongos and congas he plays are beautifully hand crafted and they look it sitting there in the room.
On the day
One hour before the function starts to get set up. He plays alongside your DJ, so let them know a bongo player is coming and will be plugging into their sound system. They'll need one microphone input free for him.
Set List
There's no fixed list, because he plays along to whatever is being played. Almost any style works, including music from other cultures. Best to talk through what you've got planned so he knows what he's playing over.
Performance options
He generally works as a solo bongo player rather than inside a bundled package. If you need more musicians for the event, he can point you towards others.
