Blue Dip started as two guitar players in northern Sydney who worked out fairly quickly that neither of them could sing. Haley fixed that. Now they're a trio, and the material leans bluesy and soulful rather than hit-after-hit: Dave Matthews, John Mayer, The Allman Brothers, a bit of Faith No More. They'll play Wonderwall if you push hard enough. Sets run three of them, 45 to 60 minutes each, soothing in the afternoon and rowdier after dark. They bring all their own gear. Give them a covered patch about 3m by 3m and two power points, anywhere around Sydney.

It depends what time of day you've booked them for. Afternoons are the soulful, soothing end of what they do, easy on a lawn or a long lunch.
