Mystica Fay is a Melbourne-based belly dancer.
The music is yours to pick, so the performance can run to your own favourite songs or work in around your DJ or live musicians. Mystica Fay builds the whole thing to your theme and colour palette, costume included, and arrives with her own props, playlist and speaker. Fire dance is the headline, using poi, a headdress, palm torches, fans, sword balancing and fire eating, with a trained fire safety specialist present every time. Belly dance is there as well, with an optional workshop afterwards and hip scarves for guests to borrow, plus LED and glow props for later. The performance is built around your theme, your colour palette and the feel you're going for, down to the costume. She brings her own music, costumes and props, and is insured and safety-certified for the fire work. Communication is straightforward before the day, which takes one thing off your list. And afterwards, if you'd like, she'll stay out for photos with guests, which is usually where the phones come out anyway.
At least 4m x 4m on a flat, level surface, with plenty of clearance overhead. She'll bring a playlist and a wireless Bluetooth speaker unless you've arranged otherwise. Allow half an hour on site before the show to set up and another half hour afterwards to pack down. Lighting so the audience can actually see the performance needs to come from you or the venue. An assistant may come along to help with setup, safety and props, and doesn't count as a second performer.
